Artist's Comments
This is a practice piece I did a while ago and forgot to post. I had an idea of a character that I wanted to draw eventually, but at the time, I was reading "The Legend of Drizzt" and loved how the cover was a monochromatic painting. So, I tried a monochromatic one, working on my realism a bit. No references used (though I should have), his hair's too long, his eyebrows and eyelashes are nonexistent, and his lips need more work. Besides that, I think it passes...It's not the best, though. And it's an obnoxsiously "green giant" green. I guess it's alright for a first time paint-from-scratch portrait though.

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on.
